WHO FILED SUIT AGAINST NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINES FOR THE DROWNING DEATH OF A PASSENGER IN BERMUDA IN MARCH 2024?

_LadyJustice

Although there are many law firms who wrote about the incident and lawsuit, the actual law firm who represents the family and filed suit for the family is the maritime specialty law firm of Frank D. Butler, PA, the attorneys at www.888BoatLaw.com. This suit was filed in Miami in federal court by Frank D. Butler, PA of www.888BoatLaw.com on March 25, 2025 for the family.

The www.888Boatlaw.com law firm contends that NCL advertised that a shore excursion in Bermuda at Horseshoe Bay Beach was considered easy when the beach was known for riptides and several prior drownings, including deaths of both tourists and local Bermuda residents. The allegations contend that instead of warning passengers of the dangers of the beach, NCL posted on its website that the excursion was easy.  The civil suit contends there were no known lifeguards at the beach despite it being an excursion point for the cruise lines. NCL has contested the allegations of the Complaint and the case remains pending before Judge Cecilia Altonaga in the federal district court for the Southern District of Florida.

Discovery and motion practice continues in this case.

www.888BoatLaw.com is a law firm that only represents passengers against cruise lines, and does not represent cruise lines. From their offices in Tampa Bay and The Villages for the past 25 years www.888BoatLaw.com has successfully represented injured families throughout all of Florida, residents outside of Florida, and many foreign citizens in cruise ship injury cases.
